Cooper's Hawk

This is Gary, the Cooper's hawk. He comes to our backyard for little birds and yes he finds them. That is Nature's way.

  1. Definetly going to be following your blog, love it! Yes, it is nature's way, we have one that feeds on our backyard birds sometimes, but it's sad! :-( We love them all, though.

  2. I have a Cooper's hawk also that comes for lunch at the bird feeders, only it's not the bird food that it eats. I also have a voracious Peregrin Falcon that comes out of no where. Hey, they are supposed to stay in the city and eat pigeons! It seems to favor mourning doves and cardinals. They are both beautiful raptors.

I also have a beautiful pair of Red Shouldered Hawks which are quite plentiful in my area, along with Red Tails. Although I have many squirrels and chipmunks, the rabbit population is way down.

I have really enjoyed watch Molly and her kids. Thank you.
